Our story

Best Friends Floral Decor & More began nearly 30 years ago on a track in the suburbs of Boston. Our track careers didn’t survive that season, but our friendship has been blooming ever since.

From the very beginning, we realized two things about ourselves. We were both shorties who secretly hated running, and we were both extremely crafty and creative.

Over the next few decades, we embarked on all kinds of creative adventures. From cardmaking and craft fairs to party planning and more, we were always finding new ways to bring ideas to life.

As we entered our 30s, weddings, babies, and birthday celebrations filled our calendars. Before long, we became the go-to friends for decorating and event planning.

Today, we channel that same creative energy into Best Friends Floral Decor & More, bringing our signature flair to weddings, celebrations, and events of all kinds.

Our mission

As DIY besties, we help couples, event planners, and local businesses bring their event vision to life without the stress of doing it all alone or the high price tag of traditional floral companies.

Our mission is to make beautiful events more accessible by creating thoughtful floral designs, dreamy tablescapes, perfectly placed bouquets, and carefully styled decor that feel both personal and elevated.

We believe every event deserves to feel special, intentional, and effortlessly put together.

About Lauren…

Lauren has been a budding (pun intended) creative entrepreneur from an early age, peddling her homemade cards around the neighborhood at age 10. She gained her floral skills from a short-lived career in the florist department at a local grocery store in high school.

Today, she channels her creative, entrepreneurial spirit into her various pursuits, including this very one, where she focuses on the business side and transforming designs into reality.

She is also the CEO & Head Writer at her life sciences communications firm, Lauren Perna Communications. Lauren also runs a mental health platform, Mentally Fit Founder, and volunteers with various community groups.

About Lindsey…

Lore has it that Lindsey was born with craft scissors and a glue gun in her hands, and hasn’t stopped creating ever since. Her artistic talents led her to earn a degree in art, which proved absolutely unhelpful as graphic design moved to digital when she graduated in the dark ages.

Ever the hands-on creative, Lindsey decided to channel her crafty energy into side businesses selling everything from cards with Lauren to gorgeous wreaths through A Wreath in Franklin.

She is the head of creativity here at BFFD&M, where she focuses on turning your vision into reality—you might even be on the receiving end of one of her gorgeous mockups!
